Built in Germany, for everyone who cares about privacy
We built eml.dev because we needed a transactional email service without Big Tech involvement. No Google, no Amazon, no Microsoft. Just independent European infrastructure.
Why we built this
Every transactional email service we looked at had the same problem: they run on US infrastructure, subject to US law. Even services that claim "EU data centers" are often American companies—meaning the CLOUD Act applies, and US authorities can demand access to your data regardless of where it's physically stored.
We wanted something different. A German company, using German infrastructure, subject only to German and EU law. No complexity around Schrems II, no worries about the next Privacy Shield invalidation, no wondering if your email provider's US parent company got a secret FISA warrant.
So we built eml.dev. Simple transactional email that respects your data sovereignty by design, not by policy.
What we believe
Independence matters
We don't use AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Our infrastructure is independent European providers, end to end. No US company in our stack.
Fair pricing
One price for everyone. No volume discounts that favor big players, no negotiation needed. €0.001 per email, always.
Developer experience
Clean APIs, clear documentation, helpful error messages. We build the tools we'd want to use ourselves.
Transparency
No hidden fees, no unclear terms. You know exactly what you're paying for and where your data lives.
